Som l’Irma i l’Oriol, l’any 2014 vam instal·lar-nos a la Vall d’en Bas per obrir la nostra pròpia formatgeria La Xiquella, on hi tenim l’obrador, la cava i una petita masoveria (allotjament rural). www.laxiquella.cat

Some time later, seeing that the farmhouse was getting too small, we decided to restore Mas el Barber (just 6 km from the cheese factory) in order to welcome all the people who wanted to spend a few days with us and share our lifestyle.

Thus, in 2019 we opened the doors of Mas el Barber, a small farmhouse in the middle of the Vall d’en Bas (Garrotxa) where you can stop for a few days and taste our cheeses without rushing.

At the foot of Mallol and surrounded by fields and mountains, in an intimate and welcoming space where you can relax, rest and get away from your day to day.

Slow accommodation for adults only

Mas el Barber is a small, intimate and romantic accommodation. It is a space aimed at adults who want to come to rest, sleep, read or swim peacefully in the pool enjoying the silence of the rural environment that surrounds us. In this way, you will not find any television in the entire house, as it does not fit with our slow philosophy or the space for rest and disconnection that we want to offer.

If you stay with us, we will try to make you stop for a moment, forget about your worries and focus on enjoying the little pleasures of life. Taste a freshly baked bread, have a good cup of tea, look at the stars out the window, watch the birds at sunset or smile because a new day is beginning…

In our house you can sleep like kings and in the morning enjoy a good breakfast without rushing.

For the rest of the meals we can recommend the best restaurants in the area and help you choose the one that best suits your needs, or you can ask us for one of the proposals that we have available on our Room Service menu based on local produce.

7 unique rooms, personally decorated in a rural and vintage style.
